An old trick in Mac OS X is to print. Once you get there, you get options to create a PDF file instead of actually sending anything to a printer. That will do the trick.

I'm ready to pull my hair out. These are easy steps to reach, but you can't in fact just save the final product as stated on every website I've visited. If you try and save or Command-S it will just save the page you have highlited in the toolbar and not the combination of the PDF's. I'm going to keep looking and try to understand why my 3000 dollar mac is having such a hard time doing something that my 200 dollar PC had no problem with... GRrrgfkjgasd!!!

Unfortunately, this does not provide a permanent access to the Library. Only the Terminal will do that.

It means that your battery needs to be inspected, and probably replaced.

What does "check battery" mean? This is what it says when I check the "condition" status. I am new to Mac and was given a Mac so I am just learning about these things. If anyone can answer this I would appreciate knowing what to do.

Uh, Macs can get viruses, and have been infected with trojans, botnets, and malware. Typically the applications installed and browser used are more important on security than the Operating system. It is true that it is much less likely that you will get a virus on a mac, as a virus functions by replicating itself and spreading computer to computer. Windows, at 87% market share, is a larger target and thus most hackers write virus code for it. Additionally, on a windows machine, a person may turn off the notification that pops up asking permission to execute or install code.

On a mac, you are required to type your user name and password, while on windows you click yes, that you want to install it. Both of these are fully capable of incapacitating an operating system. And both, to an uneducated user, are dangerous. It is more likely to occur on windows due to market share, not security, but you are also more likely to have antivirus installed. Mac users bought into the secure OS bull a long time ago. Yes, a Mac can get a virus. No it can't get a PC virus. That is where the Unix and windows argument comes in. As Mac gains market share, hackers will be more willing to target them. Just look at the recent Adaware trojan that hit Macs.

And these types of articles only leave Mac users less secure because they convince folks that they do not need antivirus software. Apple highly recommends that users install anti-virus, but they don't play up that aspect due to the false preception of security. Apple just patched OSX in November with 41 security fixes... Goes to show you that when there is a determined coder, nothing is safe.
